Don’t buy a camera because you like the color. Buy a camera because it takes good photos. Your sister is 12. Shes not exactly a “little kid”. If she were say 4 it might be an ok camera for her to just play with and if she broke it its only $59. At 12 she should have a decent camera. If this camera gets many bad reviews I wouldn’t buy it. The 8MP isn’t really an issue. That would print well up to 8×10 and maybe even 11×14.

T. Le is absolutely wrong though as are many I see post that MP don’t affect image quality. The MP ratings do affect image quality. T. Le should try getting a decent 11×14 from a VGA image file. The larger you plan to print or if you plan to crop images the more MP you’ll need. If the only size you’ll ever print is 4×6 and you’ll never do any cropping the MP rating may not matter.

Why is it so cheap? You get what you pay for, right?
With such bad reviews, I wouldn’t buy it, even if hot pink was my favorite color.

@Ray: Megapixels have nothing to do with image quality.

By experience if something gets bad reviews i don’t buy it.

If people were so annoyed with it to a point of going somewhere to say it is not good i believe them!

Also, repeating myself from another answer, don’t fall into the megapixel game. That is NOT a number that ranks quality in any shape or form. It is just the size of the picture as it comes out of the camera, it is not the quality of the picture.

I wouldn’t get it if i were you. 8.2 mp isn’t that good in picture quality and some of the ratings are only 1 star. I wouldn’t get it
